Description

The Piper PA-28 Cherokee is a family of light aircraft built by Piper Aircraft and designed for flight training, air taxi, and personal use. The PA-28 family of aircraft is all-metal, unpressurized, single-engine, piston-powered airplanes with low-mounted wings and tricycle landing gear. They have a single door on the co-pilot side, which is entered by stepping on the wing. The PA-28 is the fourth most produced aircraft in history. The first PA-28 received its type certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration in 1960 and the series remains in production to this day.

G-AVNN is a meticulously maintained 1967 Cherokee 180C that stands out among its peers. Recently flown regularly and proven reliable, this aircraft combines practicality with comfort. The Hamble window conversion and bright, modern interior create a surprisingly spacious and inviting cockpit environment. Designed for versatility, the Cherokee 180 excels on grass strips thanks to its manual flaps and ample power, while remaining a stable platform for instrument flying. Its crosswind capability ensures confidence in varied conditions, and the airframe’s renowned endurance and low maintenance demands make it an ideal choice for private pilots.

The panel features a modern avionics suite, including a Garmin GNC 255A Nav/Com, Garmin GI 106B ILS indicator, Garmin GTX 328 Mode S transponder, King KN64 DME, Bendix ADF, and a Sigtronics SPA-400 intercom. With 9,389 hours total time on the airframe (last annual inspection January 2025) and an engine/propeller overhaul in October 2004 (821 hours since), this aircraft is ready to fly.

Perfect for PPL holders—especially those trained on PA-28 models—this Cherokee offers familiarity, durability, and value.

G-AVNN remains a great example to this day. Details on the plane can be found below.
